Derek's mom, Julie, came to visit us this last week and we had so much fun having her here! She got to see all the fun sights of Omaha.
We went to the zoo, the Downtown Farmers Market, the Winter Quarters visitors center, cemetery and Temple.
While she was here we worked on a couple of projects. Our front planter looked great a month ago with tons of tulips and daffodils, but then it looked awful once they all died away for the season. We totally revamped the area and Julie was SO helpful in what to put in there and how to design it. It looks great now!
Then, we worked on a patch-worked table decoration for the summer.
We had a great time and are so glad that she came! It was sad to see her go, we all miss her!

Addison is a very blessed b b girl! Both Grandma's love to dig in the dirt! I love the new look! Great that she knows the plants to plant for your seasons! Me, not so much . . . since we have one season! The zoo is amazing! Glad that you have fun things to do. Looks like you really did great time management!
Your planter looks nice....mom is good about that kind of thing. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun!
Thanks so much for letting me come and invade your space. It was so fun to see you guys in action as a family. Both of you are doing an awesome job!
I had a fun spending time with you. (Addison and I should have gone on more bike rides. That was fun!)
